Discover Spearhead’s new GPS/GIS Utility Mapping Service! Enhance safety, efficiency, and compliance in construction. Say goodbye to vanishing markings and step into a secure, efficient future.

Welcome to the first edition of Spearhead Locating Services News. While we understand the past year has been challenging for many, we appreciate the loyalty from our current clients and have some exciting news to share with you about the improvements we have made in order to better serve you.

While we are currently based in Ventura County, we now proudly offer all of our Utility Locating Services in both Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties as well.

Welcome concrete scannerIn addition to building a new website this year, we have expanded our existing Electromagnetic Utility Locating and GPR-based Subsurface Investigation services to include Concrete Scanning. We have also acquired three new pieces of equipment to better service you.

Our new equipment consists of:

  • GSSI StructureScan Mini XT Concrete Scanner with Line Trac to locate active electric lines in the concrete as well as locate the position and depth of metallic and non-metallic objects in concrete structures, including rebar, conduit, post-tension cables, pan decking, voids and service utilities.
  • Radio Detection RD1100 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to detect underground utilities, particularly non-conductive pipes and ducts, using high-frequency Radar. The use of GPR is a valuable complement to electromagnetic cable and pipe locators.
  • Radio Detection RD8100 Electromagnetic Locator. Provides the most advanced technology in the utility locating field today. Makes finding conductive utility lines in congested areas more accurate.

We are excited about these changes and hope to continue to be your go-to contractor for all your Utility Locating needs. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about an upcoming project, please reach out to Dave Marzio at (805) 340-6686 or dave@spearheadlocating.com.
